Here are my pictures at the Forbidden City (紫禁城) from December 2011. All of them were taken with my Sony DSLR camera.
Man, this was such an awesome experience! It was bitterly cold, though, which made the lake/river freeze over. I've included pictures of that.
A bit of history: the Forbidden City was constructed from 1406 to 1420, and was the former Chinese imperial palace and winter residence of the Emperor of China from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. That's between 1420 and 1924!
